The student exhibition "Forced Relations" at the HSE Gallery space was the first collaboration between the "Sound Art & Sound Design" and the "Contemporary Painting" programs at the HSE Art & Design School. The visual curation of the exhibition was handled by renowned Russian artist Vladimir Dubosarsky, while the audio curation was led by composer and musician Andriesh Gandrabur. As part of the exhibition, sound designers teamed up with visual artists to create musical compositions for specific paintings on display. The works were available for listening via QR codes placed next to the paintings.

My role in the exhibition’s sound design, however, was somewhat different: instead of individual pieces, I developed the overall sound backdrop that played continuously throughout the gallery. Prototypes of the other sound designers' works for specific paintings were used as starting points, based on which I created thematic soundscapes for the three exhibition halls — selecting a distinct emotional tone for each. I also took part in a musical performance at the exhibition’s opening.
