Telling Stories is a non-profit educational festival founded by the Faculty of Creative Industries at HSE University in 2018. The festival’s stated mission is to bring together those who are interested in the present and future of the creative world. Since 2021, the festival has been actively expanding and now takes place not only in the capital but also in other major cities of Russia.

Under the guidance of Gleb Glonti, founder of the cultural initiatives agency and sound research laboratory Kotä, I was part of a team of three sound designers creating the sound identity for the Kazan branch of the festival’s brand. The audio identity is built on a combination of acid music timbres, reflecting the bright, almost acidic palette of the brand, with more measured soundscapes, including field recordings made in Kazan itself.
